COMEDY DYNAMICS TO RELEASE THE COMEDY FILM BRUCE ON JANUARY 16, 2018
LOS ANGELES, CA – Comedy Dynamics announced today it will release the comedy film Bruce, which screened successfully at Nashville’s FILM-COM, the NYC Independent Film Festival and the New York Film and TV Festival, on January 16, 2018 on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and major transactional services.
Reacting to the news that he is about to be a first time father, irresponsible artist Charlie agrees to enter the corporate world to create more stability for his new family. Remolding himself in the ideal corporate image proves challenging and soul-crushing, and just as he is at his breaking point he meets the incredibly free-spirited and constantly inappropriate Bruce in an elevator. Bruce takes Charlie under his wing and through a series of drunken misadventures, graffiti, and bizarre pep-talks reconnects him with his sense of humor and his love of the arts. The only problem is Bruce doesn’t exist.
“Effortlessly genuine and truly funny, Bruce holds a mirror to the internal struggle of today’s artist and successfully emboldens you to listen to the voice pushing you to fulfill your dream,” said Maria Akay, Director/Narrative Feature Curator of the NYC Independent Film Festival.
Comedy Dynamics is also looking forward to Christopher Bayon’s upcoming film The Truth About Santa Claus, which is currently in production.
Comedy Dynamics, a Nacelle company, is one of the largest independent comedy production and distribution companies, producing Kevin Hart’s Guide to Black History, Animal Planet’s Animal Nation with Anthony Anderson, the new scripted comedy on Hulu, There’s… Johnny!, History’s Join Or Die with Craig Ferguson, MTV2’s Wild ’N On Tour, and Hulu’s Coming To The Stage. The company has worked with a wide range of established and emerging comedic talent including Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Jim Gaffigan, Katt Williams and many more.
