Comedy Dynamics has announced they will release T.J’s new stand up comedy special, Son of Haiti, through the Comedy Dynamics network. The album will be released on April 3, 2020 through SiriusXM, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, Tidal, and more.

In his first one-hour special, Haitian comedian T.J brings everything to the table. In his easy, conversational style, T.J jokes about dodging syphilis in New York City, being raised with a strict “no fun” policy, and evil kids at summer camp.  T.J expertly navigates the intersection between politics and race, finding humor in the Me Too movement, suicide, and white people thinking they’re “race-less.” In Son of Haiti, T.J draws on his experiences in both Haiti and Brooklyn for jokes that are as smart as they are funny.

As seen on Gotham Comedy Live and Good Day New York, T.J knows his way around a stand up stage. In addition to performing regularly at some of the best comedy clubs in New York, T.J has been a featured performer at SF Sketchfest in San Francisco and was a finalist at the Boston Comedy Festival in 2016.

Originally from Haiti but based in New York, T.J’s dual experiences greatly inform his comedy. T.J uses his voice to bring visibility to the immigrant community, offering Americans an immigrant’s perspective with humor and truth.

In addition to comedy, T.J is an op-ed contributor to The New York Times. His piece “Meet Haiti’s People” can be found online at The New York Times.

Ashley James from Stellar Underground said “(T.J) has a way of drawing in the audience with his witty insightful perspectives, most of which makes me nod in agreement before laughing”.

“A really fun and engaging set! We’re proud to be releasing this truly funny album,” said Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of Comedy Dynamics.
