Comedy Dynamics will release the critically acclaimed film, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakirthrough the Comedy Dynamics Network via Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Comcast, Spectrum, Dish and in Fall 2019.

Ajatashatru Lavash Patel has lived all his life in a small Mumbai neighborhood tricking people with street magic and fakir stunts. He sets out on a journey to find his estranged father, but instead gets dragged on a never-ending adventure. The film won the Audience Award for Best Comedy at the Barcelona Sant-Jordi International Film Festival in early May and also won the Ray of Sunshine Award at the Norwegian International Film Festival.

The New York Times called The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir“A Bustling, Whimsical Voyage.”

The Los Angeles Times said “The film paints a sympathetic, humanizing picture of those fleeing war and poverty only to face bureaucratic or political hurdles at their intended havens (that’s) funny, entertaining and positive,”

The Hollywood Reporter said “At a time when the plight of immigrants has become the subject of heated political debate in Europe and the US, an extremely feel-good migration movie like The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir comes along as a rather pleasant surprise.

“Ken Scott tells a philosophical story without making it boring or preachy. The tale has humour, emotions, a bit of action and even a bit of Bollywood heroism. Songs like Madaari and Angrezi Luv Shuv are pleasant,” said BollywoodLife.com.

“Adventures are a truly universal theme. No matter where you live or who your friends are, adventures wait around every turn and the opportunity is always there if you decide to take it. That’s what makes films like this so relatable,” said Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of Comedy Dynamics.
