BILL HICKS: LIVE IN LONDON (RECORD STORE DAY BLACK FRIDAY/DIGITAL)

COMEDY DYNAMICS TO RELEASE BILL HICKS: LIVE IN LONDON FOR RECORD STORE DAY’S BLACK FRIDAY ON NOVEMBER 24, 2017 AND DIGITALLY ON DECEMBER 22, 2017

Comedy Dynamics announced today it will release Bill Hicks: Live in London for the very first time on vinyl exclusive to independent retail as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday. The album, also unreleased, will be released digitally on December 22, 2017.

In 1992 Bill Hicks embarked on a tour playing theaters and colleges across the UK. To say it was well received would be an understatement; Bill sold out 15 shows from coast to coast. The tour culminated with a November 29th triumph at the Dominion Theatre in London, resulting in Bill’s last recorded special, Revelations. We are celebrating the 25th anniversary by releasing the limited edition vinyl double LP for Record Store Day’s Black Friday 2017 exclusive to independent retail and digitally on December 22, 2017. Take the ride and enjoy some of Bill’s most enduring material.

“We are honored to celebrate Bill’s legacy with this 25th anniversary release,”

said Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of Comedy Dynamics.

Hicks tackled a wide range of social issues including religion, politics, consumerism, the media, and popular culture in a dark and controversial way. During the 1990’s, he toured the United States and United Kingdom extensively while making a number of high-profile television appearances. On February 26, 1994 at the age of 32, he died of pancreatic cancer in Little Rock, Arkansas. In subsequent years he has developed a strong following around the world. He was named the fourth greatest comedian of all time by London’s Channel 4 and ranked at 19 by Comedy Central.
