Comedy Dynamics has announced they will release Atsuko Okatsuka’s new comedy album, But I Control Me, on January 17 through Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, SoundCloud and much more.

Atsuko Okatsuka’s new comedy album, But I Control Me, gives us insight into the creative mind of a comedian who delivers her unique brand of observational and relatable comedy in a tidy package of stories about why Detective Pikachu destroys filmmaker’s dreams and how she occasionally touches tongues with dogs in Silverlake.

Atsuko was named one of Vulture’s Comedians To Watch in 2018 and she’s also been featured on TimeOut LA’s list of rising comedians in 2019. Her comedy writing experience includes work on Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, Soft Focus with Jena Friedmanand HBO’s Room 104.

“(Atsuko’s) stand-up is a pretty perfect distillation of the Japanese-American experience delivered as succinct observations in a cool, calm, collected manner,” said Vulture.

TimeOut LA said “Refreshing, artistic and boundlessly confident, Okatsuka’s sense of humor makes audiences feel like they have always been on her side, even when she’s taking them to task,”

“What if IHOP did change to IHOB forever? What if Jesus has been back? What if Donald Trump’s spray tan guy is a part of the resistance? These are important questions that burden my brain, and now they can yours, too. But I Control Me. Cause most things are out of our hands,”  – said Atsuko Okatsuka.

“Atsuko’s talent for storytelling combined with her relatable, fearless stage presence are just a couple reasons why we find ourselves laughing out loud to her hilarious new album,” said Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of Comedy Dynamics.
