Comedy Dynamics has announced they will release Jay Jurden’s new stand up comedy special, Y’all, through the Comedy Dynamics network. The album will be released on April 24, 2020 through SiriusXM, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, Tidal, and more.

In his first comedy special, actor and comedian Jay Jurden hilariously explores the intersection among sexuality, race, and growing up in the South. In Y’all, Jay jokes about joining a Fantasy Football League (not the kind of fantasy he hoped for), calls out Kanye West, and talks about coming out in Mississippi. Tackling sensitive subjects without hesitation, Jay draws on his experiences as a black, southern queer in this smart comedy debut.

Named one of Timeout’s “Comedians to Watch in 2019” and frequently seen on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Jay Jurden is making a name for himself in comedy. In addition to an impressive acting resume, Jay was awarded “Best LBTQ comic” by Manhattan Comedy Festival and is a StandUp NBC finalist alum.

Originally from Mississipi, Jay brings a fresh perspective to the stage. Through well-crafted storytelling, Jay explores how geography and culture inform sexuality and finds humor in delicate subject matter. He hopes to be the queer voice in a void and bring visibility to the bisexual community.

“All of my comedy is filtered through a queer and black lens. It’s not every setup and it’s not every punch line, but it does inform everything I choose to write about.”

“It’s always a pleasure to work with Jay. His unique brand of observational comedy is smart, witty and enjoyable from start to finish,” said Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of Comedy Dynamics.
