On her canceled wedding day in late 2019, comedian Natasha Pearl Hansen takes the stage at her wedding venue to deliver a funny and poignant reflection on her “special day” in front of family, friends, and her would-have-been wedding guests. With a lively take on relationships, family and procreation – including interviews with her mother, grandmother, and matron of honor – Natasha finds the silver lining in her “wedding day that wasn’t” and creates an evening you’ll want to save the date for.
Natasha Pearl Hansen began her comedy career in the conservatory at Second City Chicago before moving to Los Angeles, where she began self-producing unique and inventive tours at comedy clubs and venues all over the country and Europe for the past decade. Her entrepreneurial mindset has allowed her to partner with brands and apps for years and is now leading her to launch her startup, MyBreakUpRegistry.com, alongside and inspired by her comedy special. Her innovative startup is an analogue to a crowd-funding and wedding registry platform that is specifically designed for people going through life-changing splits from relationships.
“I’m so excited to be creating a platform to allow people to make the best of life’s unexpected moments. My canceled wedding, my breakup and the launch of this startup can hopefully bring some light and levity to all the heartache out there… and without that chapter ending I wouldn’t have ended up in the position I am in now with life, relationships, and business. I want this to show people that you can not only bounce back after the loss of what you thought you wanted, but also create something way better. I look forward to sharing my story with the world as it reopens!” said Natasha Pearl Hansen.
“We’re excited to be releasing Natasha’s debut comedy special, and can’t wait for you all to check it out!” said Brian Volk-Weiss, Founder and CEO of Comedy Dynamics.
